Summary
The musical comedy A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which opened on Broadway at Walter Kerr Theatre in 2013 and went on to win four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is given the original cast soundtrack treatment here, which means plenty of Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays, who plays eight different characters in the show. Based on the 1907 novel Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal by Roy Horniman, the show was written by Robert L. Freeman (book and lyrics) and Steven Lutvak (music and lyrics). -- Editorial Review provided by Steve Leggett for All Music Guide, taken from Barnes And Noble website
