Summary
  • Beethoven: The Newton family is unprepared for the chaos that enters their lives when the cute, frisky St. Bernard puppy they adopt grows into an enormous, drooling disaster-prone pooch named Beethoven
  • Beethoven's 2nd: In the second "symphony" of the Beethoven saga, our hero meets Missy, the lady Saint Bernard of his dreams
  • Beethoven's 3rd: The story begins as Richard Newton, his wife Beth, daughter Sara and son Brennan prepare for a cross-country drive to a family reunion. For Richard, it's a dream vacation. For his family, it boredom on wheels - until the appearance of a suprise passenger: the huge, rollicking, slobbering, lovable dog, Beethoven
  • Beethoven's 4th: Mr. and Mrs. Newton are forced to consider sending Beethoven to live on a farm because of the trouble he causes in the house. The Newton children take action when they hear the news, and begin to take Beethoven to clandestine obedience classes. However, when practicing in the park with him, the children accidentally switch Beethoven with another St. Bernard, who happens to be snooty and well behaved, just like its owners, the wealthy Sedgwicks. Soon, Beethoven is wreaking havoc on Sedgwick manor and the Newtons are puzzling over their dog's apparent personality transformation
  • Beethoven's 5th: When Beethoven digs up an old ten dollar bill, it arouses the suspicion of the Cedar Woods community. When the town finds out that the bill is part of a lost fortune, Beethoven becomes everyone's best friend as the entire town tries to get him to sniff out the loot
