Summary
  • The admiral was a lady: Shortly after World War II, four fun-loving ex-airmen living on their wits are asked to watch over ex-WAC Wanda Hendrix until she is reunited with her fiance', who is hiding out from vengeful millionaire Rudy Valee. However, complications occur when the four men vie for her hand. A fun film with witty dialogue between Hendrix and the four guys. One of the ex-airmen, Edmund O'Brien, goes so far as to almost getting beaten to a pulp in a boxing match to prove his love to Hendrix. The question is, which of the five men will Hendrix pick for her one true love?
  • The dentist: Fields is involved in comical situations involving breakfast, the iceman, golf, and his dental patients
  • The big chance: An aspiring boxer with dreams of a championship fight has been working with his trainer for years, when he is led astray by a crooked promoter. With promises of riches and the enticement of a vampish woman, the boxer believes he will be a success, although he will be forced to throw a fight to satisfy his new promoter. Will the boxer's true love and his old trainer be able to convince him to do what is right?
  • Kid Dynamite: In 1940's New York, East Side amateur boxing champ and local gang leader Mugs McGinnis is scheduled for a showdown with the West Side's champ. But on his way to the arena, Mugs is kidnapped by bookies out to make a bundle on the bout. When he doesn't show, his friend Danny stands in and wins the fight. Suspecting Danny was part of the dirty deal, Mugs proceeds to bully him relentlessly. Branded a coward, and faced with losing his girl, Danny makes a brave decision
