Summary
  • The time of your life: The assorted customers of a small saloon in the big city are a passing parade, relating their problems and accomplishments, their joy and sorrow to Joe, "whose hobby is people."
  • A farewell to arms: Screen legends Gary Cooper and Helen Hayes portray Lt. Henry, the officer, and Catherine, the nurse, who find true love amidst the horror of World War I. Trying to stop our young is Major Rinaldi, the man jealous of the love between the young lieutenant and the English Red Cross nurse. This touching tale demonstrates that in spite of the miles between them and the obstacles in their way, love does find a way of uniting people
  • The Scarlet Pimpernel: The Scarlet Pimpernel is set in late eighteenth century France during the darkest days of the French revolution. An Englishman, called the Scarlet Pimpernel, and his followers adopt secret identities and outwit the French Republicans while saving the aristocrats from the bloodshed of the Reign of Terror
  • The Black Pirate: In the first grand-scale epic shot entirely in Technicolor, Michel is the sole survivor of a ship pillaged by buccaneers. He poses as the mysterious Black Pirate and infiltrates the nest of bandits. Michel then mounts an elaborate ploy to recover the brigands' treasure, reclaim the ship, and rescue the divine princess held captive there
