Summary
  • My favorite brunette: A baby photographer lives out his fantasy of being a modern-day Sherlock Holmes. Mistaken for a private detective, he's hired by a lovely brunette. Making all the wrong moves, he gets involved with an international gang dealing in uranium. The brunette baffles him, the gang slugs him, his automobile goes haywire, and the laughs keep coming fast and furious
  • Pardon my pups: The story involves Temple and her brother Sonny, who has a terrible fear of dogs, and his father's insistence that he overcome his fear. Running away from home to escape his father's ire, Sonny discovers a lost dog, so he overcomes his fear and brings the animal home to nurse it back to health. When he shows the dog to his father, Sonny is ordered to take it to the pound to be destroyed; not knowing the dog belongs to one of his friends. Can Sonny's friend stop him in time to save the dog?
  • The big trees: Unscrupulous timber baron Jim Fallon plans to take advantage of a new law and make millions off California redwoods, but much of the land he hopes to grab has been homesteaded by a Quaker colony. An expert at manipulating others, Fallon suddenly finds that the love of a pretty Quaker girl is tempering his greed, and forcing him to stand on the side of the Quakers against other men who also want the giant trees
  • Beyond tomorrow: Three lonely engineers spend Christmas Eve with two strangers, James and Jean, who end up falling in love. They all become good friends until the three engineers are killed in a plane crash. When James' and Jean's love is put to the test, the ghosts of the three men try to guide them back together
